Bears Care was established as a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Foundation in 1995, a partnership that continued until 2005 when Bears Care incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization. Throughout this time, Bears Care has been committed to improving the quality of life for people in the Chicagoland community especially disadvantaged children and their families, through targeted programs supporting education, youth athletics and medical research and health awareness programs focusing on breast and ovarian cancer. Bears Care has issued grants totaling over $34.7 million to over 200 qualifying agencies since 2006.

The 2026 Bears Care Gala is returning to Soldier Field on Saturday, May 9.

Donate Your Tickets
A heartfelt thank you to our Season Ticket Holders for their generosity during the 2025-2026 season. This year, over 800 tickets were donated through the Bears Share program, providing unforgettable gameday experiences to our community partners and those they serve. Since 2014, this program has turned unused tickets into meaningful opportunities, with Bears Care facilitating the distribution to local non-profits.
To participate next season, simply donate your tickets via STH Central at least four business days prior to kickoff. We are grateful for your continued support in sharing the spirit of Chicago Bears football with our entire community!

Bears Care thanks all fans who shared greetings on the LED ribbon panels during the 2025 season, celebrating birthdays, retirements, military service, memorials, and first-time visits to Soldier Field.
Check back in late May, after the Bears schedule is released, to secure your spot for the 2026 season.
Partner Spotlights
Imagine Englewood if...
Imagine Englewood if... (IEi) empowers local youth and families through programs centered on wellness and community care. Bears Care has invested more than $200,000 over the past three years to support IEi's work, including the transformation of an abandoned bungalow into the Healing House--a new community wellness hub offering free mental health support and essential resources to West Englewood residents—as well as continued services across the Peace Campus. Supported by design and furnishings from Crate & Barrel, this investment reflects a shared, community-led vision to turn trauma into healing and ensure residents have access to care and dignity where it matters most.
Real Bears Fans Wear Pink
Thank you Bears fans for your continued support of Bears Care's Real Bears Fans Wear Pink campaign. Proceeds from last fall's campaign will be distributed to neighborhood organizations across Chicagoland that provide needed support and services for breast cancer patients, survivors and their families.
