The Bears hosted the first-ever Girls Flag Football Summer League Championship June 27 at Halas Hall. The Summer League featured 45 teams across eight conferences. The tournament, which included the winner of each conference, was won by Kenwood Academy. St. Charles North took home second place, and Antioch High School defeated Harlem High School to claim third place. Super Bowl XX champion Jay Hilgenberg and former receiver Anthony Morgan awarded trophies and championship rings to the winning teams.
