The Bears on Monday agreed to terms with long-snapper Chad Rempel on a three-year contract.
The 6-2, 214-pounder spent the last 10 seasons in the Canadian Football League, appearing in games for Winnipeg, Toronto and Hamilton while also seeing time with Edmonton and Montreal. He played seven seasons with Toronto from 2006-07 and 2009-2013.
Rempel, a 31-year-old native of Alberta, Canada, who attended the University of Saskatchewan, was a long-snapper and wide receiver in the CFL, compiling 70 special-teams tackles, two fumble recoveries along with 22 receptions for 283 yards and two touchdowns.
