Bears add Hurst to roster, cut Wilson

INDIANAPOLIS – The Bears on Saturday promoted defensive back Demontre Hurst from the practice squad to the active roster and released defensive lineman C.J. Wilson.

The team also ruled nose tackle Eddie Goldman, running back Jeremy Langford and cornerback Deiondre Hall out of Sunday's game against the Colts. The three players, who were initially listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report, did not travel with the Bears to Indianapolis.

Hurst has appeared in 22 games with three starts in three seasons with the Bears, recording 41 tackles on defense and nine stops on special teams, one interception, two pass breakups and one forced fumble. Hurst spent the first four weeks of the season on the Bears practice squad.

This is the second straight week that Wilson has been added to the 53-man roster early in the week and then released on Saturday. He has appeared in 78 NFL games with 19 starts over six seasons with the Packers (2010-13), Raiders (2014-15) and Lions (2015), registering 111 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 15 tackles-for-loss.
