Bears Care Gala to be held May 18 at Soldier Field

Bears fans will have a chance to meet the new coaching staff and some of their favorite players at the 18th annual Bears Care Gala on Saturday, May 18 in the United Club at Soldier Field.

The Gala benefits Bears Care and supports breast and ovarian cancer research and treatment programs in the Chicago area. The Gala, which has raised $10 million since its inception, is the one offseason event that brings together Bears players, coaches, ownership, front office staff, donors and fans in support of a common goal.

Guests at the Gala will enjoy a fun-filled evening which includes cocktails, dinner and dancing to the music of "Entourage," along with live and silent auctions that feature unique Bears experiences and memorabilia. The event is emceed by Bears radio play-by-play announcer Jeff Joniak.

The live auction, which will be conducted by Joniak and Eric Ferguson from "The Eric and Kathy Show" on 101.9 FM The Mix, will include a trip for eight to Costa del Sol in Spain, and an executive suite for 20 to a concert featuring Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z.

The silent auction will include VIP weekend experiences at the Indianapolis 500, a bus trip for 20 to the Notre Dame 2013 home opener, a VIP box for eight to a Jimmy Buffet concert at Charter One Pavilion, and luxury vacations to Miami Beach, Cabo San Lucas and Indian Wells, Calif.
