The Bears on Monday signed free-agent guard Taylor Boggs and waived six players.
Boggs, 30, returns for his second stint with the Bears, having appeared in one game with them in 2013 and four contests in 2014. He played in two games with the Lions in 2015 and spent last season with the Cardinals, appearing in five games with his first two NFL starts. He worked with Bears first-year offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn in Detroit.
Boggs entered the NFL with the Jets in 2011 as an undrafted free agent from Humboldt State.
The players waived by the Bears Monday were running backs Bralon Addison and David Cobb, cornerbacks De'Vante Bausby and Jacoby Glenn, receiver Dres Anderson and tight end Justin Perillo.
