Guests enjoyed dinner and cocktails while mingling with their favorite Bears, and took part in some friendly competition on the lanes. The kids in attendance also enjoyed a few epic games of laser tag with many of the players in Brunswick's brand new laser tag course.
The Bears and Bears care welcomed students from Hawthorn Middle School in Vernon Hills and youth football players from the Palatine Panthers to Bears Bowl. The kids at Hawthorn Middle, who arrived to the event on the Bears PLAY 60 bus, participated in the Fuel Up to PLAY 60 program this year. The Panthers were selected to play in the Mascot Melee Bowl at Soldier Field during halftime of the Bears vs. Ravens game on November 17. Unfortunately the annual contest between Bears mascot Staley and his furry friends was cancelled due to the severe weather during the game, so the kids were given the opportunity to bowl with the players and Staley at Bears Bowl.
The event included live and silent auctions that featured Bears tickets and other unique sports memorabilia, which raised over $16,000. All proceeds from the event benefitted Bears Care, the charitable beneficiary of the Chicago Bears, which supports targeted programs in the areas of education, youth athletics and health awareness
