The Bears on Monday bolstered their secondary by re-signing veteran safety and special-teams contributor Chris Prosinski to a one-year contract.
Prosinski has appeared in 85 games with 15 starts over six NFL seasons with the Jaguars (2011-14), Eagles (2014) and Bears (2015-16), recording 120 tackles, one interception, seven pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and 43 special-teams tackles.
Last season Prosinski played in all 16 games with one start for the Bears, registering 15 tackles, one pass breakup, one tackle-for-loss and seven special-teams tackles.
Prosinski was selected by the Jaguars in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Wyoming, where he played with Bears defensive lineman Mitch Unrein.
