This week, the Bears are offering fans the chance to buy top-notch memorabilia and contribute to an important cause.
To commemorate the upcoming Crucial Catch game on Sunday, Bears players will wear white and pink Advocate Health Care patches on their practice jerseys. A jersey will be available from every player on the Bears active roster.
Fans can bid on these jerseys via the free Chicago Bears Official App brought to you by Verizon, starting today, October 16. Along with the jersey, the highest bid will also receive the "I Practice For" card signed by that player. These cards list the name of the person or people to whom that Bears player has dedicated their week.
To access the auction, open the app, tap on "More" in the bottom navigation then tap "Bears Care Auction." For information on how to set up auction alerts within the Chicago Bears Official App, please visit this link.
Each bid will start at $100 and go up in $25 increments. Bidding will end on the afternoon of Thursday, October 24 on a rolling basis.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the "Real Bears Fans Wear Pink" campaign. To buy this season's shirt, click here.
Last season, the jersey auction brought in nearly $20,000 to the initiative, which focuses on providing care, assistance and support to breast cancer patients and their families.
In addition to the auction, the Bears will participate in a series of events focused on driving awareness to the Crucial Catch cause over the next few weeks, including hosting five breast cancer survivors to practice on Friday.
