The Bears on Monday unveiled the 2018 "Real Bears Fans Wear Pink" t-shirt design in partnership with Advocate Health Care, official health care partner of the Bears. Shirts are available for purchase online at chicagobears.com/pink for $30 each.
New this year, women's V-neck shirts will also be available, while supplies last. The shirt design is a nod to the "Monsters of the Midway" superhero brand campaign that the Bears have partnered with alumnus Israel Idonije and ATHLiTACOMiCS on this season.
Shirts will also be available for purchase at the Sept. 30 and Oct. 21 home games in the Miller Lite Chicago Bears Fan Zone and Miller Lite Chicago Bears Ultimate Tailgate prior to kickoff, at Bears Care tables between Gates 1 and 3 at the Dr Pepper Patio in the South Courtyard, at Sections 101 and 138, and in the United Club.
Proceeds benefit organizations providing care, assistance and support services to Chicagoland breast cancer patients and their families, and offer access to critical breast health services to low-income women.
The Bears and Advocate Health Care will hold a "Monday Night Lights" pep rally Monday at Maine East High School with appearances from Benny Cunningham, James Daniels, Pat O'Donnell and Javon Wims to officially kick off the campaign.
On Tuesday, Bears Care will hold their annual kickoff luncheon at Halas Hall, where they will distribute $157,500 to partners who provide critical support and services to women in the Chicago area. Adrian Amos also appeared at the Conway Park Autumn Classic 5K last week in support of the initiative.
The Bears and Bears Care will officially recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month Oct. 21, when the Bears host the Patriots at Soldier Field. All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game to show their support. During the week leading up to the game, Bears players will wear special white and pink Advocate Health Care patches on their practice jerseys, some of which will be auctioned off to fans via the free Chicago Bears Official App brought to you by Verizon; additional details will be announced at a later date.
