The Chicago Bears and Bears Care, the team's charitable arm, unveiled today the 2022 Real Bears Fans Wear Pink shirt design in partnership with Advocate Health Care, the Official Health Care Partner of the Chicago Bears. Shirts are available now for $30 each at ChicagoBears.com/pink. The 2022 shirt is a comfortable cotton/poly fabric, features long sleeves, and is available in unisex sizes S – 3XL. New this year, a short-sleeve version of the shirt is available for kids in youth sizes L and XL.
Proceeds from all shirt sales benefit Bears Care and help fund local programs which provide care, assistance and support services to breast cancer patients and their families, including helping to facilitate timely access to critical breast health services for low-income women. This marks the 15th year of the Real Bears Fans Wear Pink shirt campaign, which to date has raised more than $1.6 million to support breast cancer patients and their families.
Shirts are also available for purchase on game day at the next two home games at Soldier Field – Sunday, Sept. 25 vs. the Houston Texans and Thursday, Oct. 13 vs. the Washington Commanders. Shirt sales can be found pregame outside the stadium in the Fan Zone (no gameday ticket is required) and in multiple locations inside the stadium (gameday ticket required). Shirts will also be available at two upcoming Miller Lite Official Away Game Watch Parties – Sunday, Oct. 2 at Salerno's Pizzeria & Sports Bar, 9301 W. 63rd Street, Hodgkins, IL. and Sunday, Oct. 9 at Playbook Sports Bar, 6913 N. The Bears and Bears Care will officially recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Oct. 13 vs. Washington. The week leading up to the Bears' Oct. 9 matchup in Minnesota against the Vikings, Bears players will wear special white and pink Advocate Health Care patches on their practice jerseys. The special edition practice jerseys will be auctioned off to fans via the Chicago Bears Official App brought to you by Verizon. Additional auction details will be announced at a later date.
Bears Care also will host its Season Opener event in the PNC Center at Halas Hall on Friday, Sept. 23, to help kick off this year's campaign. Over 60 cancer survivors will attend along with representatives from 13 organizations across Chicagoland that provide programs serving the distinct needs of breast cancer patients and survivors, as well as family and caregivers behind the scenes. With our "Real Bears" fans' generous support of the 2021 Real Bears Fans Wear Pink campaign, Bears Care was recently able to award over $150,000 to these partner organizations.
