I've been impressed with running back Jeremy Langford in the first two preseason games. Do you think he will take some carries away from Kyle Long this season?

Fourth-round draft pick Jeremy Langford has certainly turned heads in training camp and the preseason to this point. The Bears view him as a very promising all-around back who's capable of excelling as a runner, pass catcher and pass blocker. So, yes, I do believe that he may ultimately share some of the workload with Matt Forte. Forte is one of the NFL's most productive running backs, but he hasn't really had a quality backup since he's been with the Bears. Veterans Chester Taylor, Marion Barber and Michael Bush all failed to live up to expectations as complementary backs. But Langford has shown a lot of promise—he looked like a seasoned veteran on a two-yard touchdown run against the Colts last Saturday night, bouncing outside and driving a safety into the end zone—and could very well play a key role as a reserve running back this season. I still expect Forte to get the majority of playing time, but he no doubt would stay fresher if Langford subs in for him on a regular basis. And don't forget about Jacquizz Rodgers either. He's still listed second on the depth chart at running back and could emerge as an excellent change-of-pace option who possesses a different skill set than Forte and Langford.
When was the last time the Bears went undefeated during the preseason?

It hasn't happened very often. Since 1959, the Bears have had only one undefeated preseason—when they went 4-0 in 1994. Interestingly, they went on to make the playoffs that season as a wildcard with a 9-7 record. The Bears also won their first two preseason games last year and have now accomplished the feat in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1986-87.
What area would you most like to see the Bears improve Saturday night against the Bengals?

That's an easy one for me: I'd like to see the Bears offense—specifically the No. 1 unit—get into the end zone Saturday night in Cincinnati. The starters have produced four field goals on six possessions in the first two preseason games, but they have yet to convert a third down or score a touchdown. I'd like to see that change against the Bengals.
