What draft analysts think Bears will do with No. 10 pick

mock-draft-NEW-040325

With the NFL Draft just three weeks away, here's what 12 draft analysts are projecting the Bears will do with the No. 10 pick in the first round:

Walter Cherepinsky, Walter Football (April 2)
Pick: Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant
Comment: Kenneth Grant has flashed upside and is considered an underrated talent. Some of Charlie Campbell's sources prefer Grant to Mason Graham.

Charles Davis, NFL.com (March 27)
Pick: Georgia edge rusher Jalon Walker
Comment: Da Bears went strong in free agency. Now they add a bookend buddy for star pass rusher Montez Sweat.

Nate Davis, USA Today (April 1)
Pick: Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty at No. 5 via trade with Jaguars.
Comment: The Bears' offseason has been all about upgrading the resources around second-year QB Caleb Williams, from the hiring of HC Ben Johnson to the expensive improvements to the offensive and defensive lines. What better way to continue that effort than to move up for Jeanty, who might be giving Hunter and Carter a run for their money near the top of the board if not for the position he plays. But oh how Jeanty (5-9, 211) plays it, the 2024 Heisman runner-up rushing for 2,601 yards – 28 shy of breaking Barry Sanders' single-season NCAA record. A compact, powerful combination of explosiveness and strength, Jeanty could be the final piece to the offensive puzzle surrounding Williams.

Bruce Feldman, The Athletic (April 3)
Pick: Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty
Comment: Chicago strengthened its interior O-line this offseason, and a juiced-up running game should be a big help for last year's top pick, Caleb Williams. With both Jeanty and UNC's Omarion Hampton available, the Bears have their pick of who they want to team with D'Andre Swift to give new coach Ben Johnson a 1-2 punch similar to what he had in Detroit.

Jacob Infante, Pro Football Network (April 2)
Pick: LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell
Comment: His short arms are cause for some discussion, but Campbell feels like the safest offensive line pick in this draft. He's a premier athlete with a high football IQ, refined hand usage and a powerful frame. Whether he's a tackle or a guard, he should be an impact starter for quite some time.

Maurice Jones-Drew, NFL.com (April 3)
Pick: Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson
Comment: I know it would be a surprise to a lot of folks if Henderson is picked in the top 10, but he's my No. 2 RB in the draft and we saw how much success Detroit had with two running backs at the center of Ben Johnson's offense. Now the new Bears head coach adds a versatile and explosive back to pair with D'Andre Swift, giving Chicago a one-two punch in the backfield. Plus, Henderson excels in pass protection, making him an option on all three downs.

Matt Miller, ESPN.com (March 27)
Pick: Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty
Comment: Jeanty can do the same things Jahmyr Gibbs did for Ben Johnson's offense in Detroit, but with more power. Jeanty is an elite contact balance runner who does not go down on first contact. He can create his own rushing lanes and has the speed to produce chunk plays. Jeanty is also a good receiving back, with 43 catches for five touchdowns in 2023 before Boise State's offense switched to a run-heavy approach in 2024. Jeanty led the FBS with 2,750 all-purpose yards and could team with D'Andre Swift to give the Bears a fearsome run game. That, along with an interior offensive line that was bolstered with the acquisitions of guards Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson and center Drew Dalman, can further aid second-year quarterback Caleb Williams' development.

Garrett Podell, CBS Sports (March 31)
Pick: LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell
Comment: A critical factor of new Bears head coach Ben Johnson's success as the Lions' offensive coordinator was having a dominant offensive line. Yes, they've traded for Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney as well as signed free agency's top center in Drew Dalman, but here they still add at OL. That's why the Bears take Campbell, a 2024 consensus All-American, to complete Chicago's offensive line with youngsters at the two tackle spots with Campbell at left tackle and Darnell Wright at right tackle.

Kyle Stackpole, CBS Sports (March 30)
Pick: Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr.
Comment: The Texas standout was a unanimous All-American in 2024 and won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy and the Outland Trophy as the best offensive lineman in college football.

Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports (April 2)
Pick: Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty
Comment: The Bears get their Jahmyr Gibbs for Ben Johnson after fortifying the trenches in free agency.

Field Yates, ESPN.com (April 2)
Pick: LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell
Comment: I'm pretty bullish on Campbell as a prospect. Despite concerns about his 32⅝-inch arm length, he ranks fifth on my board. And in this scenario, I'm not super focused on whether he would ultimately play tackle or slide inside to guard. The Bears' starting five is already much better on paper after a busy free agency, and Campbell could play wherever he's needed. New coach Ben Johnson would love a player like Campbell, whose elite foot quickness and pass-protection ability fit great in his system.

Lance Zierlein, NFL.com (April 1)
Pick: Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty
Comment: The Bears have done a good job improving their offensive line this offseason. The next step toward getting the most from Caleb Williams and that offense should be taking the most explosive playmaker in this draft.
