Inside Rookie Minicamp
- Episode 1 - Camp begins
- Episode 2 - Special Teams
- Episode 3 - Defense
- Episode 4 - Offense
In a sit-down interview during the segment, the veteran NFL coach talks about looking for athleticism in young players during practice.
"When you're doing a lot of the drill work that we did during camp, it's not just to teach your fundamentals but it's also an evaluation," DeCamillis says. "You can see them move in space. You can see them-although we're not in pads-doing some tackling drills."
"Inside Rookie Minicamp" gives fans unprecedented access to Bears players and coaches. Viewers are taken inside meeting rooms, the locker room, weight room, equipment room, lunch room and onto the practice field.
In the second segment of the series, DeCamillis discusses how the rookies are being given the chance of a lifetime.
"Coach [Marc] Trestman did a great job of getting across to everybody that these are these kids' dreams and we want to try to add to it as much as we can and try to pick the best guys that we can for our football team," DeCamillis says. "I think everybody did a great job of coaching them up and really getting them prepared to hopefully compete for a job."
