Former Bears quarterback Caleb Hanie and linebacker Joey LaRocque reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Barrington Hills Monday night in which the driver was killed.

According to the Chicago Tribune, 35-year-old Salvatore DiMucci of Barrington Hills died of multiple traumatic injuries after the car he was driving struck a tree and crashed into a ditch on Goose Lake Drive.
Barrington Hills police chief Richard Semelsberger told the Tribune that the group was returning after dining together in South Barrington.
Hanie signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent from Colorado State in 2009. He appeared in 10 regular-season games with four starts, completing 59 of 116 passes for 679 yards with three touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a 41.6 passer rating.
LaRocque was selected by the Bears in the seventh round of the 2008 draft out of Oregon State. He appeared in 10 games as a rookie, registering nine tackles on special teams.
