With the Bears halfway through their schedule and on their bye this week, we took a look back at the first eight games to find the 10 best plays of the season so far.
10. Porter interception vs. Texans on opening drive
On the first defensive drive of the season, Tracy Porter jumped in front of a Brock Osweiler pass and grabbed the interception, setting a strong tone for the year.
9. 64-yard pass from Hoyer to Royal vs. Detroit
In a game where yards were hard to come by, the Bears got the big play they needed from slot receiver Eddie Royal. Quarterback Brian Hoyer hit Royal on a short crossing route and the receiver did the rest, taking it 64 yards to set up an eventual Chicago touchdown.
8. Glenn forced fumble, Amos recovery and run vs. Cowboys
Safety Adrian Amos had some ferocious hits versus Dallas, but his biggest play of the game came after Jacoby Glenn knocked the ball loose from Cowboys receiver Terrance Williams. Amos scooped it up and returned it 21 yards.
7. Willie Young's third sack vs. Colts forces punt
Willie Young went fishing often versus the Colts, but he reeled in his biggest catch of the day in the fourth quarter, sacking Andrew Luck for the third time on the afternoon. The stop forced an Indianapolis punt, and the Bears scored on the following possession.
6. Hall reads route for easy interception vs. Lions
Late in the fourth quarter of the Week 4 game versus Detroit, the Bears needed a stop to seal the win. They got one from rookie cornerback Deiondre Hall, who intercepted Matthew Stafford with just four minutes left in the game.
5. Jordan Howard's 57-yard run vs. Colts
It looked like a simple stretch handoff play. But because of Jordan Howard's speed and vision, and some strong downfield blocking, the rookie turned it into big 57-yard run.
4. 54-yard pass to Alshon Jeffery vs. Texans
Looking for points with just seconds to go before halftime in Week 1, Jay Cutler went deep and hit Alshon Jeffery for a 54-yard gain. On the next play, Cutler found Eddie Royal for a touchdown.
3. Eddie Royal 65-yard punt return TD vs. Philadelphia
Eddie Royal scored the first punt return touchdown for the Bears since Devin Hester in 2013, eluding several Eagles defenders on his way to the end zone for six points.
2. Jordan Howard's 69-yard run vs. Vikings
The biggest play in a record-setting night for Howard was a beautiful 69-yard run in the first quarter of the Week 8 game. Howard made several Vikings miss with a great cut, and then showed his downfield speed. He finished the game with a 202 yards from scrimmage.
1. Leonard Floyd's strip sack and touchdown vs. Green Bay
Chicago's first-round pick, outside linebacker Leonard Floyd, showed his explosive ability in the Week 7 contest versus the Packers. Floyd eluded his blocker, knocked the ball out of the hands of Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers, then dove back and jumped on the loose pigskin in the end zone for the touchdown.
