NFL.com writer Gregg Rosenthal is predicting that the Bears player most likely to have a breakout 2021 season is second-year receiver Darnell Mooney.
The Bears traded up in the fifth round of last year's draft to select Mooney out of Tulane. One of the team's most pleasant surprises in 2020, the speedy 5-11, 174-pounder set a franchise record for most receptions by a rookie wide receiver with 61 while amassing 631 yards and four touchdowns.
"In Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney, Chicago could quietly have one of the better combinations of vertical threats in football," Rosenthal wrote.
In Rosenthal's article, he chooses one player from each NFL team he believes will have a breakout 2021 campaign.
