The following people are scheduled to announce the Bears' draft picks later this week:

Day 1 (Thursday night, Round 1)

Carlos Nelson, the CEO of the Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation, will be in Cleveland to announce the Bears' first-round selection. The GAGDC serves the neighborhood where Chicago's first COVID-19 cases and deaths were reported. The community also deals with tremendous health disparities, having no accessible health care facility in the neighborhood for several years.

Nelson worked to design and gather support for a community revitalization plan centered around creating a Healthy Lifestyle Hub to provide a home for a federally qualified health center. His vision came to life last summer when his plan was awarded the inaugural $10 million Chicago Prize by the Pritzker Traubert Foundation.

The Healthy Lifestyle Hub is now becoming a reality, with construction having begun in March of 2021 and doors scheduled to open in early 2022. Nelson continues to fundraise to support GAGDC's work around health equity and economic development.

Day 2 (Friday night, Rounds 2-3)

Former Bears receiver and defensive back Rashied Davis will be in Cleveland to announce his former team's second- or third-round pick.

Davis spent six of his seven NFL seasons with the Bears from 2005-10, playing defensive back as a rookie before switching to receiver. He joined the team after excelling as a two-way player in the Arena Football League with the San Jose SaberCats.

Davis appeared in 92 games with 15 starts for the Bears, catching 88 passes for 1,032 yards and five touchdowns. In his six seasons in Chicago, the Bears won three division titles and one NFC championship, appearing in Super Bowl XLI.

"I'm very excited and honored to have been chosen to announce one of the Bears' draft picks," Davis said.

Davis was chosen because of his involvement in social justice causes. Over the past year, he has co-hosted a video tour of the DuSable Museum; conducted a virtual visit with READI Chicago, an organization driven to decrease shootings and homicides among those at highest risk of gun violence; and spoken at protests in Lake Forest and Libertyville following George Floyd's murder.

Davis also operates his own foundation, A Saturday Place, an academic enrichment program for third and fourth grade Chicago public school students; and is a board member for Hire360, a non-profit that helps Chicagoans land trade jobs.

Day 3 (Saturday, Rounds 4-7)

The Bears' first pick on the third and final day of the draft will be announced by Paul Videtich, the club's 2020 Fan of the Year who recently retired after working in the imaging department at a New Lenox hospital for the last 43 years. Videtich will announce the selection live from the NFL Draft stage in Cleveland. Subsequent picks will be announced by Bears director of player personnel Josh Lucas, assistant director of player personnel Champ Kelly, director of college scouting Mark Sadowski and defensive coordinator Sean Desai.

The Bears hold the 20th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Check out the complete order of selection for Thursday's first round, which begins at 7 p.m. (CT) on NFL Network.
