Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, linebacker Jonathan Anderson, and tight ends Khari Lee and Gannon Sinclair visited Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago on Tuesday, November 10 in honor of Veterans Day and in conjunction with the "Teen/Tween Tuesdays with the Bears" program.
During their visit, the players enjoyed dinner with veterans and children whose parents are currently serving in the U.S. Military. Afterwards, the group played BINGO where everyone had the chance to win cool Bears prizes.
The players also tested out their artistic ability, joining the veterans and kids in a painting activity. While none of them should seriously consider trading in their cleats and helmets for paintbrushes and easels, a great time was had by all.
Additionally, Bears Care, the charitable arm of the Chicago Bears, presented the USO of Illinois with a $15,000 grant in support of the "Teen/Tween Tuesdays with the Bears" program during the visit.
Through the "Teen/Tween Tuesdays with the Bears" program Chicago Bears and USO of Illinois team up to host quarterly events for tween and teen children of military servicemen and women.
