Jay Cutler's 30-yard completion to tight end Martellus Bennett on the Bears' first possession Sunday in Detroit set up Robbie Gould's 34-yard field goal, resulting in a 3-0 lead.

Lance Briggs stopped running back Joique Bell for no gain on third-and-one, forcing the Lions to settle for David Akers' 23-yard field goal, which tied the score 3-3.

Jay Cutler's pass intended for Alshon Jeffery over the middle was intercepted by Lions safety Louis Delmas. It was the first of three Cutler picks.

After the Lions had taken a 6-3 lead on David Akers' 31-yard field goal, receiver Alshon Jeffery raced 27 yards on a reverse to the Chicago 47-yard line.

One play after Alshon Jeffery's reverse, Matt Forte dashed 53 yards for a touchdown to give the Bears a 10-6 lead. Forte rushed for 95 yards on 14 carries in the game.

After the Lions had closed to 10-9 on David Akers' 41-yard field goal, Detroit's Micheal Spurlock returned Adam Podlesh's line-drive punt 57 yards to the Chicago 22.

Matthew Stafford's 1-yard TD plunge gave the Lions a 16-10 lead. The ball popped loose when he was hit by Lance Briggs at the goal line, but the quarterback caught it in mid-air.

One play after Cutler's second interception, Matthew Stafford's 2-yard TD pass to Calvin Johnson gave the Lions a 23-10 lead. Johnson beat Charles Tillman on a fade route in the left corner of the end zone.

The Lions scored their third TD in a 3:26 span as Reggie Bush's 37-yard run widened the margin to 30-10 late in the second quarter. Bush rushed for 112 yards on 11 carries in the first half.

Julius Peppers recorded his first sack of the season late in the first half, forcing a Matthew Stafford fumble that Shea McClellin recovered at the Detroit 46.

Alshon Jeffery's 36-yard reception down the right sideline set up Robbie Gould's 28-yard field goal on the final play of the first half, drawing the Bears to within 30-13.

Early in the third quarter, Alshon Jeffery set up another Robbie Gould field goal with a 44-yard catch down the right sideline as the Bears closed the gap to 30-16.

Following Louis Delmas' second interception, the Bears defense generated its second takeaway of the game as safety Major Wright intercepted a Matthew Stafford pass that deflected off Calvin Johnson.

Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh sacked Jay Cutler, forcing a fumble that Nick Fairley returned four yards for a TD that made the score 37-16 late in the third quarter.

After David Akers' 43-yard field goal, Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery connected on a 14-yard TD and the subsequent two-point conversion to cut the Bears' deficit to 40-24.

The Bears defense produced its third takeaway of the game as Corey Wootton forced and recovered a Joique Bell fumble with 2:59 left in the fourth quarter.

Jay Cutler's 10-yard touchdown pass to Earl Bennett and a two-point conversion pass to Brandon Marshall drew the Bears to within 40-32 with :43 remaining.

The Lions recovered Robbie Gould's subsequent onside kick to ice the win and pull into a first-place tie in the NFC North with the Bears. Both teams are 3-1.
