Robbie Gould's 30-yard field goal gave the Bears a 3-0 lead late in the first quarter.

Receiver Cordarrelle Patterson's 33-yard touchdown run gave the Vikings a 7-3 lead midway through the second quarter.

Robbie Gould's 40-yard field goal drew the Bears to within 7-6 with 2:47 left in the first half.

On the second play of the second half, Alshon Jeffery's 80-yard TD reception from Josh McCown gave the Bears a 13-7 lead.

After Blair Walsh drew the Vikings to within 13-10, Alshon Jeffery's spectacular leaping 46-yard TD grab of a Josh McCown pass in the left corner of the end zone enabled the Bears to extend their lead to 20-10.

Matt Cassel capped a 13-play, 89-yard drive with an 8-yard TD pass to Greg Jennings, drawing the Vikings to within 20-17 midway through the fourth quarter.

The Vikings recovered a fumble at the Bears' 18, but Khaseem Greene thwarted the Vikings drive by intercepting a Matt Cassel pass at the Chicago 1 that caromed off Rhett Ellison's hands and returning it 49 yards.

Matt Forte was stopped for no gain on back-to-back plays on second-and-one and third-and-one at the Minnesota 41, forcing the Bears to punt with 2:47 remaining in the game.

Trailing 20-17, the Vikings converted on fourth-and-11 from their own 8 on Matt Cassel's 20-yard pass to Jerome Simpson over the middle.

Matt Cassel completed passes of 24, 17 and 21 yards on three consecutive plays to wide-open receivers, putting the Vikings in field-goal range.

After Blair Walsh's 30-yard field goal tied the game 20-20 with :20 left in the fourth quarter, his apparent game-winning 39-yard field goal in overtime was nullified by facemask penalty against Rhett Ellison.

One play after the penalty on Rhett Ellison, Blair Walsh hooked a 57-yard field goal attempt wide left.

With the Bears opting to kick on second-and-seven from the Minnesota 29, Robbie Gould missed a 47-yard field goal attempt wide right.

Blair Walsh's 34-yard field goal with 1:43 left in overtime gave the Vikings a 23-20 win. With Sunday's loss, the Bears (6-6) fell to one game behind the Lions (7-5) in the NFC North.

Receiver Alshon Jeffery caught 12 passes for a team-record 249 yards and two TDs. He broke his own mark of 218 yards set earlier this season against the Saints.

Alshon Jeffery became the eighth receiver in NFL history to have two 200-yard games in the same season.

Julius Peppers recorded 2.5 sacks in Sunday's loss and now has 5.5 in his last five games.

Josh McCown passed for 355 yards with two touchdowns, no interceptions and a 114.9 passer rating. McCown has thrown for nine TDs and one interception in six games this season.
