The Bears were very efficient on their opening offensive drive of the season, which included a 44-yard reception by wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.

The very next play, Jay Cutler hit Martellus Bennett for a 12-yard touchdown, giving the Bears a 7-0 first quarter lead.

Bills quarterback EJ Manuel responded on the next drive, leading the team down the field and then running in a 2-yard touchdown to tie the game.

Willie Young got the first sack of the 2014 season for the Bears, taking down Manuel for a 6-yard loss.

Following a 14-yard reception in the second quarter, Brandon Marshall fumbled. The return by Buffalo's Preston Brown gave the Bills possession in Chicago territory.

On the ensuing possession, Buffalo's Dan Carpenter drilled a 50-yard field goal to give his team a 10-7 lead.

Bills cornerback Corey Graham intercepted a Cutler pass and returned it 45 yards, setting Buffalo up with good field position.

Buffalo's offense took advantage, as Manuel hit C.J. Spiller for a 7-yard touchdown on the first play of the drive following the interception.

In the third quarter, Cutler evaded the Bills pass rush, spun around and flipped the ball to Bennett for an impressive 10-yard play.

Robbie Gould's 41-yard field goal cut the lead to 17-10 with 9:34 remaining in the third quarter.

Following a Chris Conte interception, Cutler hit Brandon Marshall for an 11-yard touchdown to tie the score at 17-17.

Cutler was intercepted by Buffalo's Kyle Williams midway through the fourth quarter, ending a Bears drive that had reached Bills territory.

Carpenter hit a field goal from 33 yards out, giving the Bills a 20-17 fourth quarter lead.

Running back Matt Forte made three receptions on the final drive, including an 11-yard reception that put the Bears in field goal range.

With 35 seconds remaining in regulation, Gould drilled a 37-yard field goal to tie the game at 20.

In overtime, Fred Jackson's 38-yard run set the Bills up to kick the game-winning field goal.

The Bills earned their first-ever victory in Chicago, defeating the Bears 23-20 after Carpenter made a 27-yard field goal in overtime to win the game.
