Top 10: Streaks in Bears history
With Cairo Santos' streak of field goals ending at 40 Monday night in Pittsburgh, senior writer Larry Mayer ranks the top 10 streaks in Bears history.

(10) Casares scored TDs in eight consecutive games
Fullback Rick Casares set a Bears record that still stands by producing touchdowns in eight straight games from Nov. 1, 1959-Sept. 25, 1960.

(9) Robinson had 20-yard catches in 14 consecutive games
Last season veteran receiver Allen Robinson II became the first player in Bears history with a reception of at least 20 yards in 14 straight games.

(8) Luckman threw a TD pass in 19 straight games
Bears Hall of Fame quarterback Sid Luckman tossed touchdown passes in a team-record 19 consecutive games from Nov. 22, 1942-Nov. 26, 1944. That included an NFL-record seven TD passes in a 56-7 win over the Giants Nov. 14, 1943.

(7) Bears led NFL in rushing four seasons in a row
The Bears topped the NFL in rushing four straight seasons from 1983-86, winning three NFC Central titles, one NFC championship and Super Bowl XX during that span.

(6) Singletary voted to 10 straight Pro Bowls
Hall of Fame middle linebacker Mike Singletary was voted to a Bears-record 10 Pro Bowls in 10 straight seasons from 1983-92.

(5) Payton had nine straight 100-yard games
Bears Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton rushed for at least 100 yards in nine consecutive games for the Super Bowl XX champions from Oct. 3-Dec. 8, 1985, tied for the fourth longest streak in NFL history.

(4) Santos made 40 straight field goals
Cairo Santos connected on a Bears-record 40 consecutive field-goal attempts from Sept. 27, 2020-Nov. 8, 2021, tied for the third longest streak in NFL history and the longest by a kicker who plays (or played) his home games outdoors.

(3) Payton appeared in 186 straight games
After sitting out one game with an injury as a rookie, legendary Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton didn't miss another contest throughout his illustrious 13-year career with the Bears from 1975-87.

(2) McMichael played in 191 consecutive games
Defensive tackle Steve "Mongo" McMichael did not miss a single game in 13 seasons with the Bears from 1981-93, playing in a franchise-record 191 straight contests.

(1) Bears won 17 straight games
The Bears registered 17 consecutive regular-season victories from Nov. 26, 1933-Dec. 2, 1934, the NFL's longest winning streak until the Patriots won 18 in a row in 2003-04.
