Zach Cable is in his third season with the Bears in 2025.
Cable possesses seven years of coaching experience, including six seasons in the NFL. Prior to Chicago, Cable spent a year at Northern Colorado (2022) and had a four-year stint with the Raiders (2018-21).
During the 2024 season, Cable worked primarily with an offense line that aided QB Caleb Williams to Bears rookie records across all major passing statistics. In 2023, Cable helped the Bears record 2,399 rushing yards on the season, ranking second amongst all NFL teams.
Before joining the Bears, Cable worked as the outside linebackers coach at the University of Northern Colorado during the 2022 season. Prior to that, he gained his first years of NFL experience working as an offensive and defensive assistant with the Raiders from 2018-21, where he worked with the offensive line, tight ends and linebackers. In his final season in Las Vegas in 2021, the Raiders qualified for the playoffs for the second time since the 2003 season.
Cable played defensive lineman at the University of Idaho. He graduated from Idaho with degrees in Organizational Sciences and General Studies with a minor in Psychology. He is the son of former NFL coach Tom Cable.
