Corey Ruff was named Senior Vice President of Strategy and Analytics & Chief of Staff on Mar. 6, 2024. The elevated role comes after Ruff's success developing and leading the Bears' business and strategic analytics since he joined the organization in 2016.
Ruff works with President & CEO Kevin Warren to to create organizational efficiencies while providing support on various initiatives and the day-to-day organizational operations. He continues to lead the business strategy and analytics function and work closely with various departments to drive the club's short- and long-term priorities.
Ruff's journey with the Bears began in 2016 when he was hired to build a world-class analytics department focused on revenue growth, driving operational efficiencies and leveraging insights to shape the club's strategy. Under his visionary leadership, the team has achieved remarkable success in pricing analyses, reporting capabilities and international business strategy. Ruff's has set competitive organizational KPIs and effectively measured the impact of corporate partnerships.
Before joining the Bears, Ruff began his professional sports career at the National Basketball Association's (NBA) team marketing and business operations department. During his tenure there, he refined his expertise in sales and attendance forecasting and other analytical initiatives.
After more than a year with the NBA, Ruff transitioned to Major League Baseball (MLB), where he played a pivotal role in elevating fan analytics and fueling revenue growth through data-driven projects spanning four years.
