Harrison Freid enters his fourth season with the Bears in 2025 as director of research & analysis. Freid arrived to Chicago in 2022 after spending six seasons with the Miami Dolphins, serving as the Head Coach Assistant – Research & Analysis. Freid was a member of a Dolphins coaching staff that compiled back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in two decades.
In his role, Freid supports numerous departments with research-related responsibilities, ranging from Coaching, Football Administration to Personnel. Freid joined the Dolphins in 2016 from the NFL's League Office, where he served in two capacities: Football Operations Assistant and Talent Acquisition Analyst.
A native of Needham, Mass., Freid played collegiate lacrosse at the University of Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and was named team captain in 2011. Following his graduation in 2011, Freid enrolled at St. John's University in Queens, N.Y., where he received his MBA and was also a member of the Johnnies' lacrosse team. Freid represented the Israel National Lacrosse team in the 2014 World Lacrosse Championships and 2015 World Box Lacrosse Championships. He won a gold medal with Israel in the 2017 European Box Lacrosse Championships.
Freid is married to his wife, Ruthie.
