Meka White Morris was named executive vice president of revenue & chief business officer on Mar. 7, 2024. Bringing over two decades of invaluable experience, her transition from the Minnesota Twins to this critical leadership role reflects her visionary approach in driving business growth and development for the Bears.
Morris works closely with President and CEO Kevin Warren, overseeing various aspects of the organization's business operations. Her duties include leading strategic planning initiatives, managing corporate partnerships, optimizing revenue streams and enhancing fan engagement strategies to further elevate the Bears' brand presence and financial health. Additionally, she plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and implementing best practices across all business functions to ensure the Bears remain at the forefront of the NFL's evolving landscape.
Prior to her role with the Bears, Morris served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Business Officer for the Minnesota Twins, where she was instrumental in developing strategies for business growth and advancement.
With a keen focus on exploring and optimizing revenue streams, Morris played a vital role in aligning and advancing the Twins' revenue-generating platforms, encompassing Twins baseball and Target Field. Her responsibilities spanned a wide spectrum, including business intelligence, analytics, brand partnerships, ticketing, marketing, and broadcast.
Originally from Boston, Morris began her career journey in 2004 as a corporate sales account executive for the Cleveland Cavaliers, enhancing the organization's sales efforts over the subsequent four years. Following this role, she embarked on a trajectory of growth, transitioning into multiple leadership roles across various organizations, including the Oakland Raiders, Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets), LEARFIELD, Legends Hospitality, Live Nation Entertainment, ISM Connect, Sport Innovation Lab and Tappit. Collectively, these experiences have culminated in an extensive history of success, particularly in sales and marketing-focused leadership roles.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Morris actively contributes to various boards and organizations, including the YMCA of the North, the US Special Olympics, the Minneapolis Downtown Council, the Carlson School of Management Strategic Board, and the Women's President's Organization, among others.
