The Bears on Tuesday signed 10 players to reserve/future contracts.
Nine of the players spent the season on the Bears practice squad: Running back Ryan Nall, receivers Tanner Gentry and Cyril Grayson, offensive lineman Dejon Allen, defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson, linebacker Josh Woods, and defensive backs John Franklin III, Michael Joseph and Jonathon Mincy.
The only player who was signed to a reserve/future contract who had not previously been with the Bears was linebacker James Vaughters, who spent the past two seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders.
Vaughters appeared in 33 games with the Stampeders in 2017-18, registering 50 tackles, 11 sacks and eight special-teams tackles. He helped lead Calgary to the CFL title in 2018 alongside fellow linebacker Jameer Thurman, an Indiana State product who signed a reserve/future contract with the Bears last week.
Vaughters entered the NFL in 2015 with the Packers as an undrafted free agent from Stanford. He has also spent time with the Patriots and Chargers but has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game.
