The Bears on Tuesday released veteran defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad.
Muhammad signed a two-year contract with the Bears last March and appeared in 16 games with nine starts this past season, registering 29 tackles, 1.0 sack, one tackle-for-loss and one forced fumble.
Muhammad was selected by the Saints in the sixth round of the 2017 draft out of Miami and played in four games as a rookie, all as a reserve. He was claimed off waivers by the Colts prior to the start of the 2018 season and spent four years in Indianapolis playing on a defense coordinated by Bears coach Matt Eberflus.
