The Bears on Tuesday signed receiver Rome Odunze to a four-year contract that includes a fifth-year option because he was a first-round draft pick.

Selected by the Bears with the No. 9 choice in the draft, Odunze appeared in 40 games with 30 starts the past four seasons at Washington, catching 214 passes for 3,272 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Last season Odunze was named AP First-Team All-American and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award which honors the nation's top receiver after establishing career highs with 92 receptions, 1,640 yards and 13 TDs. His 1,640 yards led all FBS receivers and were the most in Washington history.

As a junior in 2022, Odunze was named AP Third-Team All-American after catching 75 passes for 1,145 yards and seven touchdowns.

Odunze will team with veterans DJ Moore and Keenan Allen to give the Bears seemingly one of the NFL's most formidable receiving trios.

Bears rookies are set to report to training camp Tuesday, with veterans following Friday. The first practice is scheduled for Saturday.
