The Bears on Monday waived first-year tight end Dax Raymond.
Raymond signed with the Bears last year as an undrafted free agent from Utah State. He sustained a head injury in the preseason finale against the Titans and was placed on injured reserve. The 6-4, 245-pounder was waived/injured and re-signed to the practice squad Oct. 14.
The Bears addressed the tight end position this offseason, signing veterans Jimmy Graham and Demetrius Harris before selecting Notre Dame's Cole Kmet with their top pick in the second round of the draft.
