LANDOVER, Md. – In advance of Thursday night's game against the Commanders, the Bears activated left guard Teven Jenkins off injured reserve, flexed safety A.J. Thomas from the practice squad to the active roster and released quarterback Nathan Peterman.
Jenkins missed the first four games of the season with a calf injury. He returned to practice Monday and is listed as questionable on the injury report.
Thomas has not appeared in a game this season. He was active against the Broncos last Sunday but did not play. Thomas joined the Bears in 2022 as an undrafted free agent from Western Michigan and saw limited action in five games as a rookie.
Peterman was the Bears' No. 2 quarterback in their first three games before being supplanted by rookie Tyson Bagent and serving as the emergency third quarterback last Sunday versus Denver.
