Ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders in Washington, the Bears on Saturday activated defensive end Jacob Martin and running back Travis Homer off injured reserve, and elevated safety Tarvarius Moore to the active roster.

Homer was placed on IR Sept. 22 after injuring his finger in practice. The sixth-year pro appeared in the first two contests of the season, rushing for 16 yards on three carries.

Martin was put on IR Aug. 27 due to a toe injury. He signed with the Bears in March after spending time with the Seahawks (2018), Texans (2019-21), Broncos (2022), Jets (2022) and Colts (2023). In his six NFL seasons, the 6-2, 242-pounder has registered 85 tackles, 16 tackles-for-loss, 18.0 sacks, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and four pass breakups.

Moore has spent the first seven weeks of the season on the practice squad after signing with the Bears March 8. He has been elevated to the active roster two other times and appeared in one game – Week 6's 35-16 win over the Jaguars in London, where he played 10 special teams snaps and recorded one tackle.
