The Bears on Tuesday signed tackle Shon Coleman and waived punter Ryan Winslow.
Coleman, 30, has appeared in 23 NFL games with 16 starts in two seasons with the Browns in 2016-17. The 6-5, 310-pounder was selected by Cleveland in the third round of the 2016 draft out of Auburn. He appeared in seven games, all as a reserve, in 2016, and then started all 16 contests in 2017.
Coleman was traded to the 49ers Aug. 31, 2018, in exchange for a 2019 seventh-round pick. He was on San Francisco's 53-man roster in 2018, but was inactive for every game. The Mississippi native missed the entire 2019 season with a leg injury he sustained in San Francisco's preseason opener and then opted out of the 2020 campaign due to COVID-19.
Coleman again was placed on injured reserve in 2021. He signed with the Colts Jan. 4, 2022, but was waived May 10.
Winslow signed with the Bears Feb. 16. He has appeared in six NFL games over two seasons with the Cardinals (2019), Panthers (2021) and Commanders (2021), averaging 41.6 yards on 22 punts and placing five inside-the-20.
He entered the league with the Bears in 2018 as an undrafted free agent from Pittsburgh, but failed to make the final roster.
Winslow has had three separate stints with the Cardinals, spent time on the Packers and 49ers practice squads and played in the Alliance of American Football with the San Diego Fleet and the Memphis Express.
