The Bears made two moves involving their practice squad Tuesday, signing receiver/return specialist Dwayne Harris and releasing defensive tackle Terry Beckner.

Harris has appeared in 106 NFL games with 11 starts in nine seasons with the Cowboys (2011-14), Giants (2015-17) and Raiders (2018-19). He has averaged 10.1 yards on 180 punt returns with four touchdowns and 25.8 yards on 163 kickoff returns with one TD. He has also caught 77 passes for 874 yards and eight touchdowns.

Harris was selected by the Cowboys in the sixth round of the 2011 draft out of East Carolina. He left Dallas after four seasons as the franchise's all-time leader with a 26.5-yard average on 77 kickoff returns. He was named to the Pro Bowl while playing for the Giants in 2016 after ranking fifth in the NFL with a 24.2-yard average on 22 kickoff returns and registering seven special-teams tackles.

In his first season with the Raiders in 2018, Harris was named AFC special teams player of the week twice and ranked second in the NFL with a 14.1-yard average on 20 punt returns, including a 99-yard touchdown. He was limited to three games in 2019 due to ankle and foot injuries and spent part of this season on the Texans' practice squad before being released Oct. 12.
