Top 10: Bears deserving Pro Bowl attention
With the Pro Bowl voting already underway, senior writer Larry Mayer ranks the Bears players he feels are most deserving of Pro Bowl consideration.

(10) Roquan Smith
The rookie linebacker is tied for the Bears lead with five tackles-for-loss, ranks second with 63 tackles and is tied for second with three sacks.

(9) Eddie Jackson
The second-year safety has continued to display excellent ball skills, producing two interceptions, two forced fumbles and a 65-yard fumble return for a touchdown.

(8) Trey Burton
In his first season with the Bears, the veteran tight end has caught 33 passes for a career-high 411 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns.

(7) Tarik Cohen
The second-year pro has continued to show his versatility in compiling 683 all-purpose yards over the Bears last six games, and he leads the Bears in receiving yards with 435.

(6) Danny Trevathan
The veteran linebacker leads the Bears with 66 tackles while also registering two sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and three tackles-for-loss.

(5) Bryce Callahan
Nickel backs rarely garner Pro Bowl consideration, but Callahan deserves it with 37 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, six pass breakups and four tackles-for-loss.

(4) Akiem Hicks
The heart and soul of the Bears defense has recorded 29 tackles, three sacks, three forced fumbles, nine quarterback hits and four tackles-for-loss this season.

(3) Mitchell Trubisky
The second-year quarterback has generated 1,969 yards and 19 touchdowns over the Bears last six games and ranks 10th in the NFL with a 101.6 passer rating.

(2) Kyle Fuller
Playing with confidence and aggressiveness, the veteran cornerback leads the Bears and is tied for second in the NFL with four interceptions and has broken up 10 passes.

(1) Khalil Mack
The outside linebacker was named NFC defensive player of the month for September and has recorded a team-leading seven sacks and four forced fumbles in seven games.
