Top 10: Bears players of the 2010s
Senior writer Larry Mayer ranks the top 10 Monsters of the Midway to take the field in navy and orange between 2010-19.

(Honorable mention) Kyle Long, guard/tackle (2013-19)
Selected by the Bears with the 20th pick in the 2013 draft out of Oregon, Long became the team's first player to be selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three NFL seasons. Long was also named second-team All-Pro in 2014 before switching from guard to tackle for one season in 2015.

(Honorable mention) Alshon Jeffery, receiver (2012-15)
Jeffery posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, catching 89 passes for 1,421 yards and seven touchdowns in 2013 and 85 passes for 1,133 yards and 10 TDs in 2014. In 2013, Jeffery was voted to the Pro Bowl after twice setting the Bears' single-game record for receiving yards with 218 against the Saints and then 249 yards versus the Vikings.

(Honorable mention) Akiem Hicks, defensive tackle (2016-19)
Hicks has blossomed into one of the top players at his position since signing with the Bears as a free agent in 2016. He started all 16 games in each of his first three seasons, recording 7.0, 8.5 and 7.5 sacks. Hicks was voted to his first career Pro Bowl in 2018 when he helped lead the Bears to the NFC North title with a 12-4 record.

(Honorable mention) Lance Briggs, linebacker (2010-14)
Briggs was voted to back-to-back Pro Bowls in 2010 and 2011. He recorded six interceptions, returning two for touchdowns in back-to-back games against the Cowboys and Jaguars in 2012. He also registered 6.5 sacks and topped 100 tackles twice with 105 in 2011 and 103 in 2012.

(10) Kyle Fuller, cornerback (2014-19)
Chosen by the Bears with the 14th pick in the 2014 draft out of Virginia Tech, Fuller led the team with 18 interceptions in the decade. He was voted to the Pro Bowl and named All-Pro in 2018 when he tied for the NFL lead with seven interceptions and 21 pass breakups.

(9) Tim Jennings, cornerback (2010-14)
Jennings was voted to two Pro Bowls, in 2012 when he led the NFL with nine interceptions and again in 2013 when he had four picks, returning two for touchdowns. His nine picks in 2012 are the most by an NFL player over the past 10 seasons. Jennings had 16 interceptions and five forced fumbles in five years with the Bears.

(8) Khalil Mack, outside linebacker (2018-19)
Mack played just two seasons with the Bears in the decade. But he was voted to the Pro Bowl both years and named All-Pro in 2018 when he recorded a team-leading 12.5 sacks and six forced fumbles. With 8.5 sacks in 2019, Mack's 21 sacks are the most by any player in his first two seasons with the Bears.

(7) Eddie Jackson, safety (2017-19)
Jackson was named All-Pro in 2018 and voted to the Pro Bowl for the second straight season in 2019. His five defensive touchdowns in 2017-18 tied for the most by an NFL player in his first two seasons. Jackson has 10 interceptions and five fumble recoveries since joining the Bears.

(6) Brandon Marshall, receiver (2012-14)
Marshall had a tumultuous yet productive three seasons with the Bears. He was named All-Pro and voted to the Pro Bowl in 2012 when he set franchise receiving records with 118 receptions and 1,508 yards while scoring 11 touchdowns. He returned to the Pro Bowl in 2013 when he had 100 catches for 1,295 yards and 12 TDs. Marshall added eight touchdowns in 2014, giving him 31 in three seasons.

(5) Brian Urlacher, middle linebacker (2010-12)
The Hall of Famer played only three seasons in the 2010s, but he was voted to two Pro Bowls. Urlacher had 126 tackles and started all 16 games in 2010 when he helped the Bears win the NFC North and reach the NFC title game and then followed with 102 tackles in 2011.

(4) Julius Peppers, defensive end (2010-13)
Peppers led the Bears with 37.5 sacks in the decade and was voted to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons with the team. He also recorded three interceptions, returning one for a touchdown. Peppers was named All-Pro in 2010.

(3) Devin Hester, kick returner (2010-13)
Hester returned seven kicks for touchdowns in four seasons, six punt returns (three in 2010, two in 2011 and one in 2013) and one kickoff return in 2011. He led the NFL in punt-return average with 17.1 yards in 2010 and 16.2 yards in 2011. Hester was voted All-Pro and named to the Pro Bowl in 2010.

(2) Charles Tillman, cornerback (2010-14)
Tillman scored five defensive touchdowns, two in 2011 and three in 2012, all on interception returns. He recorded 14 picks and was voted to two Pro Bowls. Employing his patented "Peanut Punch," he forced 20 fumbles in five seasons, including an NFL-record 10 in 2012. Tillman was named All-Pro in 2012 and voted to the Pro Bowl in 2011 and 2012.

(1) Matt Forte, running back (2010-15)
Forte led the Bears in touchdowns (48), rushing yards (6,435) and receptions (367). In six seasons, he rushed for 1,069, 997, 1,094, 1,339, 1,038 and 898 yards. He was voted to two Pro Bowls. Forte's 102 receptions in 2014 were the most by a running back in NFL history.
