Top 10: Nagy's NBA best
With the NBA All-Star game tipping off this weekend, coach Nagy gives his list of the best pro basketball players that he's seen play.

The NBA All-Star game tips off this weekend. Coach Nagy is a big basketball fan. So, we asked coach to give us his list of the best pro basketball players that he's seen play.

10.) KARL MALONE – If Karl didn't play in the same era as Jordan, he'd probably be a few spots higher. He did have the all-time leading assist leader (by 3,000) in John Stockton dishing him the rock all those years. But someone had to be the "Mailman." This guy was durable, consistent, and tough. Unfortunately, he never tasted that Championship in the NBA.

9.) SHAQUILLE ONEAL – This was my generation's Wilt Chamberlain. Shaq in his prime was completely unstoppable. Paired up with Kobe Bryant, they were dominant. I would've liked to have seen more than one title without Kobe, but winning three straight titles together was very impressive. Imagine if he could make a free throw.

8.) ALLEN IVERSON - My sleeper pick. Next to Kobe, there wasn't another player that competed more than A.I. No one played harder. This playmaker did way more with less than any other player in the NBA (short on height and in teammates) He's my pick for best scorer to never win the "big one."

7.) TIM DUNCAN - Not the sexy pick here, but five NBA Championships, three Finals MVP's, two NBA MVP's, and an 8-time NBA All Defensive Team speaks volumes to him as a player. He may be the best 7-foot passer, scorer, and defender the league has ever seen.

6.) KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR - Currently the NBA's all-time leading scorer with over 38,000 points. The inventor of the skyhook. I'm actually surprised it hasn't made a comeback. Kareem would most likely be higher on this list if I wasn't only 11 years old when he retired.

5.) LARRY BIRD - Any player that decides he's going to score 47 points with his left hand to save his right hand for a big upcoming Lakers game during the next road trip is one bad dude. One of the purest shooters ever. Not many players could talk trash like Larry Legend and back it up.

4.) EARVIN "MAGIC" JOHNSON - The greatest passer the league has ever seen. Growing up, I couldn't wait to watch Lakers games and see the next "no look" pass he was going to make. Any player that can play all five positions, has five NBA Championship rings, and three Finals MVPs is top five in my book.

3.) KOBE BRYANT - The fiercest competitor since MJ. Nobody wanted to rip your heart out more than Kobe. Nobody wanted the ball more than Kobe. Nobody wanted to "D" you up more than Kobe. And he did it all, to the tune of five NBA Championships.

2.) LEBRON JAMES - A better, more athletic version of "Magic" with the mentality of MJ and Kobe. There's Michael, LeBron, and then everybody else. Most underappreciated athlete of all time when it comes to being a complete role model on and off the court.

1.) MJ - When the tongue came out... good luck. He needs two hands for all of his rings - not to mention five MVPs and a 1988 NBA Defensive Player of the Year trophy to go on the mantle.
Come on... this is the greatest ATHLETE to ever play a sport.
