Top 10: November games
The flip of the calendar means it's time for a trip down memory lane. Here are the 10 greatest November wins in Bears history, ranked by ChicagoBears.com writer Eli Kaberon.

1 / 10
- Bears 51, Titans 20 - November 4, 2012. Chicago improved to 7-1 on the season with a dominating performance, led by the team's defense. The Bears had two defensive touchdowns in the first quarter alone, and finished the game with five takeaways. Cornerback Charles Tillman set an NFL record with four fumbles forced in the win.

- Bears 20, Lions 17 (OT) - November 24, 2002. In one of the strangest moments in NFL history, the overtime coin toss overshadowed the game. After the Bears scored 10 points in the final 2:33 to push the game into OT, Detroit won the toss to halt momentum. But instead of opting to take the ball, Lions head coach Marty Mornhinweg chose instead to pick an end zone to defend. The Bears got possession and swiftly drove down the field for the game-winning 40-yard field goal.

- Bears 27, Packers 20 - November 4, 2013. Chicago entered the Monday night game as heavy underdogs, but a first quarter sack by Shea McClellin on Aaron Rodgers changed all that. Rodgers was hurt and left the contest, while Bears quarterback Josh McCown threw two touchdowns in the upset win.

4 / 10
- Bears 56, Giants 7 - November 14, 1943. Chicago quarterback Sid Luckman set an NFL record—since tied by seven other players—by throwing seven touchdowns in the blowout win. Luckman also had 433 passing yards in the victory at the Polo Grounds.

5 / 10
- Bears 23, Lions 17 (OT) - November 27, 1980. In one of the most memorable Thanksgiving games ever, the Bears rallied and then beat the Lions in thrilling fashion. Chicago scored 14 fourth-quarter points to tie the game, and then Dave Williams returned the opening kickoff of overtime 95 yards for the winning score.

6 / 10
- Bears 38, Giants 20 - November 12, 2006. Quarterback Rex Grossman threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns, but the real star of the game was rookie Devin Hester. In the fourth quarter, Hester returned a missed field goal from the back of his own end zone all the way down the field. The 108-yard return tied for the longest play in league history at the time.

7 / 10
- Bears 10, Vikings 7 - November 20, 1977. The flu almost stopped Walter Payton on this humid November afternoon, but the Vikings sure didn't. Payton ran 40 times for 275 yards and the game's only offensive touchdown. At the time it was the most rushing yards in a game in NFL history, though since then four players have eclipsed that mark.

8 / 10
- Bears 44, Cowboys 0 - November 17, 1985. In a matchup of student versus teacher, it was all pupil. Bears coach Mike Ditka faced his former boss, Tom Landry, and it wasn't even close. Chicago's defense forced five turnovers and scored twice in the resounding win.

9 / 10
- Bears 14, Packers 13 - November 7, 1999. The Bears had lost 10 straight to the Packers, but on this afternoon, divine intervention took over. Less than a week after Walter Payton passed away, Chicago played a tough game that came down to the final play. The Packers tried for the game-winning field goal, but Bryan Robinson reached up and blocked the ball - he said he was lifted by Payton's spirit - to seal the win for the Bears.

10 / 10
- Bears 27, Browns 21 (OT) - November 4, 2001. The Bears scored a touchdown with 28 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, recovered an onside kick and then completed a Hail Mary as time expired to tie the score—and that wasn't the most memorable part of the game. After Marty Booker and James Allen scored heroic touchdowns to tie it, safety Mike Brown returned an interception 16 yards for the Chicago victory, the second week in a row Brown had a game-ending pick-six in overtime.
