What's up Bears fans,
It's Jaylon checking in from Orlando at the Pro Bowl. We just wrapped up our NFC team practice at Camping World Stadium. It was cool — just ran around a bit, went through the game plan and kept it simple.
We definitely want to save our energy and all that for the actual competition tomorrow. We gotta defend our title from last year.
It's nice to be back here for a second year. It's always fun being out here with players from around the league that you don't normally get to hang with or talk to, especially the offensive guys. After games, you don't really talk to them too much, particularly guys in the division considering all of our rivalries.
I'm just having fun being around some of the quarterbacks like [Vikings'] Sam Darnold and [Lions'] Jared Goff. Of course, [Vikings receiver] Justin Jefferson too — always fun to see him off the field. It's just cool being on the same team as those guys considering we're normally going against each other.
Justin and I were teammates along with [Cardinals' tight end] Trey McBride on Thursday too when we did the Skills Showdown. We were in the Satisfying Catches competition, which was cool. I know there's a video of him just falling over the bag at the end of my round. I was trying to find the ball and didn't freakin' see the bag. I got messed up. It was crazy because I thought I had the ball — I saw it — and then that bag had other plans for me. It's all good though, we still won the round.
Friday was a pretty chill day. I brought the whole fam down — both my daughters, my wife, my brother, my dad and my agents and his family. We all went to Universal Studios at night. They shut the park down just for the Pro Bowlers and our families.
It was a really fun time. I'm not a big roller coaster guy but I went on this one ride that had me goin' upside down, twisting and turning. It was crazy. I'd say the Harry Potter ride was the best one we did, though. My older daughter, Zaveah had the best time. She was lit when she walked in the park. As soon as we got in, she wanted to go on the carousel, see all the rides. She was looking forward to it all week and had a great time.
Anytime you can get the family together and have an experience like this, it's special. I really make sure to take advantage of these times and soak in these memories with everyone. I'm just looking forward to the rest of the weekend with them. It's always a blessing to be with my family.
Tomorrow is the big day, so it's time to get ready to compete and have fun with the guys. That's probably the most fun part about the Pro Bowl. But, I know when it's time to win the game, we're all gonna lock in and get that W.
