caleb-btn-2024-week-4

Here are some notable numbers and stats from the Bears' 24-18 win over the Rams Sunday at Soldier Field:

165

Yards from scrimmage by D'Andre Swift, who led the Bears in both rushing with 93 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries and receiving with seven catches for 72 yards. In the process, Swift became the first Bears player with at least 70 yards rushing and receiving in a game since Jeremy Langford in 2015.

36

Yards covered on Swift's touchdown run, the longest by the Bears since receiver Velus Jones Jr. 42-yard TD dash in the 2022 season finale in Minnesota. Swift's 36-yarder Sunday was the longest TD run by a Bears running back since David Montgomery's 80-yarder on the first play from scrimmage Dec. 13, 2020, in a 36-7 win over the Texans at Soldier Field.

55.4

Gross average on five punts by Tory Taylor, the third highest in a game by a Bears player since at least 1960 with a minimum of four punts. Taylor landed three punts inside-the-20, forcing the Rams to start drives at their own 5, 8 and 8.

1

Quarterbacks who've been drafted No. 1 overall to win their first two career home starts as a rookie in the common draft era. Caleb Williams accomplished that feat Sunday, beating the Rams in the Bears' second home game after defeating the Titans in the season opener at Soldier Field.

2

Bears players who have registered double-digit tackles and at least one sack and one interception in a game. Jaquan Brisker recorded a team-high 12 tackles, one sack that forced the Rams to settle for a field goal and one interception. The only other Bears player to accomplish the feat was Roquan Smith in 2022.

5

Touchdowns scored by the Bears offense in the last five quarters after the unit found the end zone once in the first 11 quarters of the season.

10

Consecutive games the Bears have held their opponents to 21 points or fewer, the longest active streak in the NFL. It's the longest streak for the Bears since they held 12 straight opponents to 21 points or fewer in 2005.

14.5

Sacks by Montez Sweat since the start of the 2023 season, the fourth most among NFC players. Sweat created a takeaway with a strip/sack of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, setting up the Bears' first touchdown.

16

Players who have caught a touchdown pass from three quarterbacks selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Bears receiver DJ Moore joined that group Sunday when he snared a 9-yard scoring pass from Williams. Moore previously caught TD passes from Cam Newton and Baker Mayfield with the Panthers.

7

Consecutive home games the Bears have won, the longest active streak in the NFL. It's also the Bears' longest streak since they won 10 straight home games in 2005-06. They won their final five home contests last year, beating the Raiders, Panthers, Lions, Cardinals and Falcons, and have won their first two games at Soldier Field this season over the Titans and Rams.

1

Touchdowns the Bears have allowed in their last four home games against the Rams. They permitted one Sunday after not yielding any in victories in 2009 (17-9), 2012 (23-6) and 2018 (15-6).

131

Rushing yards by the Bears, who entered Week 4 ranked 31st on the ground, averaging 72.7 yards per game. The Bears, Rams and Raiders were the only NFL teams that did not rush for at least 100 yards in a game through the first three weeks of the season.

272

Games that Marcedes Lewis has now played in his 19-year NFL career, the most by a tight end in NFL history, snapping a tie with Jason Witten.

25

Percentage of red-zone drives the Rams capped with touchdowns (1 of 4). The Bears forced Los Angeles to attempt field goals after reaching the Chicago 18, 15 and 7.
