caleb-btn-2024-week-11

Here are some notable numbers and stats from the Bears' 20-19 loss to the Packers Sunday at Soldier Field:

70

Yards rushing by Caleb Williams, a career high. The rookie quarterback's 16-yard scramble on the Bears' opening possession set up Cairo Santos' 53-yard field goal. Williams ran for 32 yards on three attempts to fuel a second-quarter touchdown drive. In the third period, his 4-yard run on fourth-and-1 sustained a drive that was capped by D'Andre Swift's 39-yard TD run that gave the Bears a 19-14 lead.

56.3

Percentage of third-down plays the Bears converted (9 of 16), a season high. At one point, they were 6 of 10 after being successful on 6 of 40 third-down plays in their previous three games. They were also 3 of 3 on fourth downs Sunday.

0

Turnovers by the Bears for the third straight game. It's the first time they've gone three consecutive contests without a giveaway since 1979. Williams has now gone four straight games without throwing an interception, the longest stretch by a Bears quarterback since Brian Hoyer also went four consecutive contests in 2016. It's the longest streak by a Bears rookie quarterback since at least 1950.

3

TD runs of at least 35 yards by Swift, the most by an NFL player this season. Prior to Sunday's 39-yarder, Swift had a 36-yarder in a win over the Rams and a 56-yarder in a loss to the Commanders. The only players with two 35-plus TD runs are Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs.

7,025

Career receiving yards by DJ Moore, the most by an NFL player since he entered the league in 2018. Moore caught a game-high seven passes for 62 yards Sunday, increasing his season totals to a team-leading 47 receptions for 460 yards.

243

Career receptions by Cole Kmet. With three catches Sunday, the 2020 second-round pick surpassed Desmond Clark's 242 for second most in franchise history by a tight end. Hall of Famer Mike Ditka is the all-time leader with 316.

7

Field goals Santos has made of at least 50 yards this year after his 53-yarder Sunday, tying the single-season team record he set last year. Santos' 20 50-yarders are second most on the Bears' all-time list behind Robbie Gould's 23.

1,000

Career points scored by Santos after he booted two field goals and one extra point Sunday. Santos has tallied 520 of his points with the Bears, 392 with the Chiefs, 44 with the Buccaneers, 24 with the Titans and 20 with the Rams.
