Injury Update: Who's in and who's out for Bucs game

bush-mcmanis-injury-update-100720

The Bears likely will be down two backup safeties and special-team contributors Thursday night when they host the Buccaneers at Soldier Field.

Deon Bush has been ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury he sustained in last Sunday's loss to the Colts, while Sherrick McManis is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury he suffered two weeks ago in Atlanta that caused him to miss the Indianapolis contest.

The Bears held a walkthrough Wednesday, but both Bush and McManis would not have been able to participate had a full practice been conducted.

The only other Bears player on the injury report is receiver Darnell Mooney. The rookie fifth-round pick is questionable due to a shoulder injury, but the good news is that he would have been able to practice Wednesday without restrictions.

Outside linebacker Khalil Mack would have been a full participant in practice Wednesday for the first time this year. He hasn't missed a game but has been limited in practice by a knee injury and designated as questionable for the first four contests as part of the Bears' plan to keep him healthy.

The Buccaneers, meanwhile, will be missing some key members of their offense. Tight end O.J. Howard was lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered in last Sunday's win over the Chargers. Receivers Chris Godwin (hamstring) and running back LeSean McCoy (ankle) both have been ruled out of Thursday night's game at Soldier Field, as has backup receiver Justin Watson (chest).

In addition, running back Leonard Fournette (ankle) is doubtful, while receivers Mike Evans (ankle) and Scotty Miller (hip/groin) are questionable.

Of the six players listed on the Buccaneers injury list, only Miller was able to practice Wednesday, and he was limited.
